DARE
To Be You is a 10-week course offered in both English and Spanish
at the River Oak Family Resource Center that addresses parenting concerns with a focus on self-esteem, self-responsibility, and development of social, communication, and decision-making skills. DARE stands for: |

DARE
To Be You is scientifically tested curriculum designed for families
with children ages two to five. Classes are activity-focused and have a component for the children that is run simultaneously with the parent class. After attending classes, parents walk away with: |

A sense of competence and satisfaction with being a parent; • Knowledge and understanding of appropriate child management strategies; • An improved relationship with their families and peers; and • An ability to boost their children’s developmental levels. |
DARE
To Be You is one of three effective parenting classes funded by First
5 Sacramento that are offered at the Family Resource Center. Learn about the other two classes, Make Parenting a Pleasure and Strengthening Multi-Ethnic Families and Communities. |
