Our Commitment to Equity & Inclusion

River Oak Center for Children (ROCC) is guided by our mission to help children, youth and care givers needing support, coaching and treatment to thrive at home and the community. To that end, we must acknowledge and address the impact of institutional racism on our communities and condemn racial violence, intolerance and in-equities.

ROCC stands in solidarity with People of Color, Black, Indigenous, and all oppressed communities from diverse cultural and ethno-religious backgrounds who have been disproportionately affected by grave injustice and harm.

ROCC acknowledges the historical and current effects of this intentional systemic violence including, but not limited to genocide, forced displacement and human rights injustice. Therein, ROCC is committed to a visionary future where all populations and communities are empowered, uplifted and protected with dignity.

At River Oak Center for Children (ROCC), we welcome the unique contributions our employees provide in terms of their education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs, or any other basis protected by local, state, or federal laws. By embracing the principles of diversity and inclusion, our culture is strengthened, and our workplace is more dynamic.

We are committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse team of employees to foster growth and learning together as we serve families, youth and children in the greater Sacramento area. ROCC is committed to providing a work environment free of unlawful discrimination and is committed to the practice of equal employment opportunity in hiring, employment and promotional decisions.
