River Oak's programs are based on the leading principles of Behavioral Health Care Delivery developed by the National Council of Community Behavioral Healthcare. Our programs and services use effective research-based practices to make a measurable, positive difference in the lives of the children, adolescents, teens, and families we serve.

River Oak's programs and services focus on the individual needs of children and youth, building on their strengths rather than their deficits or challenges. We also are committed to involve parents and families as partners in the child's treatment.

Ongoing program evaluation and performance monitoring are vital to what we do. Our Research and Evaluation Department evaluates the outcome of our programs by analyzing how services were delivered, how well children and their families are functioning, and how satisfied are the children and families we serve.

By working closely with our partners in education, juvenile justice, and child welfare for referrals, treatment and follow-up, we achieve better, more lasting outcomes for children, youth, and their families.
