Oak Center for Children is dedicated to providing the highest quality
training and development opportunities to employees. We offer a rich training environment that promotes educational growth and skill building for clinical and administrative professionals through a variety of course offerings and training methods. Onsite Continuing Education River Oak is committed to providing licensed clinical staff with opportunities to acquire continuing education units (CEUs). Many of our recurring onsite courses have been approved by the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) and/or the American Psychological Association (APA) for continuing education credit. These courses include the following: |
In
addition to clinical courses offered for CE credit, River Oak provides
a variety of agency and program-specific training for clinical and
administrative employees. River Oak also contracts with a variety of outside clinical trainers and consultants to provide seminars on topics of relevancy and interest to employees. Examples include: |

Oak also collaborates with other organizations to provide training
and encourages outside community partners to attend training at River
Oak. Workshops that are open to the community include: |

Online Learning In addition to onsite course offerings, River Oak's e-learning system (Essential Learning) provides employees with free, 24-hour access to a broad catalog of accredited online courses. External Training River Oak values and encourages outside training. With proper approval, employees may attend external conferences, workshops, or seminars related to current clinical or administrative job functions. All qualifying external trainings are eligible for reimbursement of registration fees and travel expenses. Tuition Assistance River Oak has established an educational development plan to provide tuition assistance for eligible employees. Participants must be employed with River Oak for a minimum of six (6) months prior to beginning approved coursework. Reimbursement is paid upon receipt of required documentation including proof of a passing grade and/or certificate of completion and receipt of payment. Participants must receive a passing grade (C or better) in approved coursework to be eligible for tuition reimbursement. |
