River Oak Center for Children: Early Intervention and Prevention Division

River Oak Center for Children's Early Intervention and Prevention Division promotes strong
bonds between young children from birth to six years of age and their families. By
strengthening a child's relationship with his or her parents and identifying any development
delays or problems, River Oak's clinical team fosters healthy, supportive environments. Early
intervention gives kids the boost they need to develop intellectually and emotionally, form
friendships and succeed in school. The programs include:

Building Blocks. Services include The Incredible Years* and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy*.
River Oak Family Resource Center. Services include Birth and Beyond,
Differential Response, Make Parenting a Pleasure, Dare To Be You,
and Seeking Safety.
Therapeutic Preschool. Services include The Incredible Years* and classroom consultation.
Early Head Start Home Visitation.
Services include Family Partners and Youth Peer Mentor, Youth
In Focus, Branching Out, family activities, and direct family support.
