River
Oak Center for Children's Outpatient Division offers programs and
mental health services at River Oak's centers, in family homes and community settings. Children and teens - along with their families - receive help to overcome problems that get in the way of their success at school and home, typically through weekly outpatient therapy sessions. The goal of the division's services is to reduce conflict between parents and children and help children get along with others. Depending on the needs of the child or family, clinical team members may teach coping skills, increase social skills, coach kids in anger management, reduce lingering effects of trauma, help with attention span and focus, and/or improve family communication. The Outpatient Division aims to improve the overall wellbeing of the child and family and help them to overcome serious emotional or behavioral challenges. Programs in the division include: |
