OUTPATIENT
COUNSELING (AGES 4 - 21)
This program provides effective community-based counseling for children
and their families who experience non-crisis related mental health
problems. The goal is to serve both children and adults in the environments
where they live – biological and/or foster families, school,
social services, mental health and other community settings. The
services (5-7 hours per month by Sacramento County contract) are
strength-based and child- and family-centered; individual goals
are developed to foster the child’s ability to function effectively
at home, school and in the community. The menu of services includes
comprehensive mental health assessment, individual and family therapy,
behavioral interventions, psychiatric services, parent support/advocacy
and crisis intervention.
