Oak Center for Children offers a competitive compensation and benefits
package including: medical, dental, and vision coverage; a monthly benefit allotment; paid vacation and sick leave; holiday pay (including employee birthday leave); life insurance; short-term and long-term disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; tuition assistance; an employee assistance program; retirement 401(a) and 403(b) plans; and more! Vacation Regular, full-time and part-time employees are eligible to accrue paid vacation time upon completion of 90 calendar days of continuous employment. Regular, full-time employees shall begin accruing paid vacation time at a rate of eight (8) hours per month. Regular, part-time employees working at minimum of 20 hours per week shall accrue paid vacation time on a pro-rata basis. Sick Leave Regular, full-time and part-time employees are eligible to accrue paid sick leave upon completion of 90 calendar days of continuous employment. Regular, full-time employees shall begin accruing paid sick leave at a rate of eight (8) hours per month. Regular, part-time employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week shall accrue paid sick leave on a pro-rata basis. Employee Birthday Leave River Oak provides one (1) day off, with pay, annually to each regular, full-time or part-time employee for the purpose of recognizing his/her birthday. Medical Coverage River Oak provides medical coverage through Kaiser or Western Health Advantage. Regular, full-time and part-time employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in medical coverage beginning the first of the month following completion of 90 days of continuous employment. All medical plans include hospitalization, prescriptions, well-baby care, annual physical exam, mental health services, and substance abuse services (outpatient only). Dental Coverage River Oak provides dental coverage through Delta Dental. Regular, full-time and part-time employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in dental coverage beginning the first of the month following completion of 90 days of continuous employment. Vision Coverage River Oak provides vision coverage through Superior Vision. Regular, full-time and part-time employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in dental coverage beginning the first of the month following completion of 90 days of continuous employment. Monthly Benefit Allotment Regular, full-time and part-time employees are eligible to receive a post-tax monthly benefit allotment beginning the first of the month following completion of 90 days of continuous employment. The monthly benefit allotment is contributed toward the purchase of employee health benefits. Employees who decline to enroll in health benefits provided by River Oak, and can provide proof of current alternative medical coverage, are eligible to receive the monthly benefit allotment as taxable income. Regular, part-time employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week shall receive the monthly benefit allotment on a pro-rata basis. Life Insurance Voluntary life insurance coverage is provided through UNUM Life Insurance. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to participate in life insurance coverage beginning the first of the month following completion of 90 days of continuous employment. Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Voluntary short-term and long-term disability coverage is provided through American Fidelity Assurance Company. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to participate in STD/LTD coverage beginning the first of the month following completion of 90 days of continuous employment. Tuition Assistance River Oak has established an educational development plan to provide tuition assistance for eligible employees. Participants must be employed with River Oak for a minimum of six (6) months prior to beginning approved coursework. Reimbursement is paid upon receipt of required documentation including proof of a passing grade and/or certificate of completion and receipt of payment. Participants must receive a passing grade (C or better) in approved coursework to be eligible for tuition reimbursement. Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Eligible employees have the option to participate in a Section 125 Plan. This program allows employees to pay for premium contributions for employer sponsored plans with pre-tax dollars. Employees also have the option under this program to use pre-tax dollars to pay for daycare expenses and un-reimbursed medical expenses. Un-reimbursed medical expenses would include deductibles; co-payments; and other medical, dental, and vision expenses that are not covered by an insurance program. Some restrictions and limitations apply. Retirement Plans River Oak offers two retirement plans through VALIC. The 401(a) plan is 100% funded by River Oak for regular, full-time employees after completion of one (1) year of continuous employment. The 403(b) Tax Sheltered Annuity plan is 100% employee funded. Eligible employees may participate in the 403(b) plan following completion of 90 days of continuous employment. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) River Oak provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Horizon Health. All employees are eligible to participate in this program immediately upon the start of employment. This program offers a variety of services designed to help employees and their families solve problems, gain information, reduce stress, balance work and family responsibilities, and improve the quality of life. Services are confidential and available 24/7 to employees and their eligible household members at no charge. Employee Recognition Program River Oak is a performance driven organization that strives for excellence. We reward outstanding performance through a variety of different employee recognition efforts and appreciation events. Employee Referral Program A referral bonus of $100 is paid to employees who refer qualified candidates for regular, full-time employment with the organization after six (6) months of continuous employment and a satisfactory performance review. |
